Associate Professor, Ph.D
Chinese Academy of Sciences, Institute of Automation
Since March 2011, in sabbatical leave at The Hebrew University of Jerusalem, in the Vision Group .

My research is in the areas of Image Processing and Computer vision, more recently in Machine learning and Computer Graphics. More specifically, I am interested in issues related to image representation, geometric and statistical modeling, image/video labeling and recognition. See here for more details about my recent research, or here for a list of publications.

Since in Jerusalem, research is focused on efficient and reliable geometric algorithms for 3D mesh processing and 3D shape analysis. In particular we investigate new ways to compare and classify 3D scans of archaeological remains or artifacts. This on-going work is in collaboration with Prof. Michael Werman, Uzy Smilansky and Leore Grosman.
