Welcome to my homepage!

I am a cotutelle Ph.D. student in Computer Vision and Image Processing. This Ph.D. is supervised jointly by two research groups:
Project-Team Ariana (joint research group INRIA/CNRS/University of Nice Sophia-Antipolis), INRIA Sophia Antipolis, Sophia Antipolis, France.
LIAMA/NLPR, Institute of Automation, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beijing, China.
I am funded by grants from
ÉGIDE, LIAMA, and Thales Alenia Space.

My supervisors are
Josiane Zerubia and Ian H. Jermyn from the Project-Team Ariana; Baogang Hu and Véronique Prinet from the LIAMA/NLPR.

The subject of my thesis is:

Variational Models for Image Segmentation: Application to Road Network Extraction from Very High Resolution Satellite Images

Keywords: higher-order, active contour, phase field, prior, constraint, shape, multiresolution, parameter, road network extraction, map updating, very high resolution (VHR), dense urban area, remote sensing images.

My thesis was defended at LIAMA on Nov. 18, 2008.
